HKSF organizes four open indicator trials for the selection of Optimist Squad Members every year in order to select young talents and prepare them for overseas competitions by offering them long term intensive training during the weekends at the HKSF training base at Sail Training Assn of HK Ltd Centre at Little Palm Beach, Sai Kung.
Eligibility for the trial:-
1. Any Optimist Sailors who are HK residents and aged between 8 and 15 years; and
2. Any Optimist Sailors who have got the HKSF Levels 1 & 2 Certificates
